Golden State Warriors should target Zach LaVine

If the Golden State Warriors are going to dump all their eggs into winning a chip as soon as possible then they better bet their money on a player who can actually help them in a significant way.

Zach LaVine is a game-changer. Yes, he hasn’t been able to compete on a winning team yet, but it is difficult to blame him for his lack of a supporting cast. If the Phoenix Suns and Devin Booker have shown us anything, it’s that these high-powered offensive talents can play winning basketball when you surround them with talent. The Warriors can do exactly that for LaVine.

With his adept ability to score on all three levels, LaVine fits in with any championship-contending team. He’s a flamethrower, to put it simply. He’s ready to give you 20-30 points on any given night and it isn’t much you can do to stop him.

The problem of playing three guards together is one the Dubs would have to address. However, at 6’6″, LaVine is hardly giving up any size if he switches to the three. He’ll be a bit outmatched but his output on offense makes up for that.

Adding LaVine to this roster gives the Warriors another elite creator that can give the opposing team hell. They’d have to give up Andrew Wiggins and a few NBA Draft picks to make it work but this is a much better deal in comparison to doing the same for Ben Simmons.
