Golden State Warriors trades for Pascal Siakam: The Wiseman-centric deal

Obviously, Siakam is the player the Warriors should want.

His ability to shoot from deep, defend the perimeter, and play position-less basketball should intrigue them.

But, at the expensive and No. 2 overall from last year’s draft, it’ll be a trade they’ll be hard-pressed to accept. Wiseman will take a few more years to develop which could be a key reason the Warriors opt to move on as their title window closes.

There’s no denying that he’s not a finished product yet, but can he blossom into a Chris Bosh-like talent? That’s still up in the air. Combining Wiseman, Wiggins, and their second lottery pick, the Warriors have what it takes to add the All-Star forward.

A trade centered around Wiseman would give Toronto enough to kick off a rebuild. He has even star potential to combine with OG Anunoby to give a firm foundation on which the Raptors can build on.

Wiseman is the star of this deal, and the late lottery pick and Wiggins are just add ons to make the cap work and add a tad more value. This trade hinges on the value that each franchise puts on Wiseman.
