Golden State Warriors trades for Pascal Siakam: The Wiggins-centric deal

Pascal Siakam is good, but he didn’t make the All-Star game this past season for a reason. While he’s young, can defend, and has a developing three-point shot, the Warriors may be better off keeping their young core together.

If they feel that way, they may not want to part ways with James Wiseman. Still assuming they want Siakam, they’d then have to couple multiple picks with Andrew Wiggins and then any other asset that is enticing.

Jordan Poole is that fourth asset, and he should be good enough to move the figurative needle just a bit. Poole averaged 12 points per game his second season in the NBA and even had a 38-point performance.

He showed enough to be considered one of the more promising prospects for Golden State. This might the deal the Warriors lean towards, and it might actually be the only one they’d accept as involving Wiseman complicates the matter.

Poole might be the perfect addition to a trade for Siakam, especially after Toronto traded away Norman Powell.
