The Golden State Warriors have had good NBA Draft Lottery luck in back-to-back years, nabbing the second overall pick in 2020 and holding down two selections in the upcoming draft. They will pick at both seventh and 14th, opening up various possibilities for the franchise.

We will all be waiting to see if the Dubs package their picks together in a trade for someone else. The idea of adding another star to this roster might be too enticing to avoid for the front office.

Nonetheless, the Warriors may also keep the picks for themselves. In this case, a number of prospects will be considered. However, none stand out more than Scottie Barnes.

The Golden State Warriors have their hands full with prospects in the 2021 NBA Draft but their search should begin with Scottie Barnes.

As with any incoming rookie, Barnes comes with some pros and cons. Evaluating the risk of Barnes and the potential benefit of him being a long-term member of the team is something the Warriors will have to do over the next few weeks.
