Overrated free agent the Warriors should pass on: P.J. Tucker
P.J. Tucker is known for his defense, and while that may be something the Warriors could use, having Draymond Green and Tucker on the court at the time same could pose problems. Both stand under 6-foot-8.
Playing five years overseas after his rookie season, Tucker managed to find his home in the NBA as a sharpshooter and gritty defender.
He was most known for his role alongside James Harden in Houston. Tucker averaged 3.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. Those only go up to 5.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per 36 minutes. Tucker just isn’t that impact on the offensive end.
Given Green’s role, that’s the main reason Golden State should stay away. Tucker has been almost invisible on the offensive end. In 27 minutes this postseason, Tucker is averaging a mere 4.3 points per game.
That’s not what Golden State needs despite his defensive prowess.
