The Golden State Warriors will officially be selecting at both No. 7 and 14 in the 2021 NBA Draft. With that being said, what are the NBA Mock Drafts predicting for Golden State this summer.

Now that we have a wide collection of NBA Mock Drafts to analyze, let’s see if there is a consensus building for the Golden State Warriors.

It’s safe to assume most of the top prospects will be off the board by the time Golden State is on the clock. Still, a few valuable names could drop right into their hands. Here are predictions from five different mock drafts.

Golden State Warriors NBA Mock Draft selections

As you can see, the only general consensus that has been built is that the Warriors will select a guard and a wing, with three of the five mock drafts predicting this pattern. This should come as no surprise as the Dubs should be looking to fill in gaps in both of those positions. Especially, if Kelly Oubre leaves in free agency.

Names like Franz Wagner, Jalen Johnson and Corey Kispert will be all over the Warriors’ radar heading into draft night. Each forward offers a variety of talents and can slide in nicely on the wing.

The same goes for guards such as Ziaire Williams, Moses Mood and James Bouknight. Each provides a sense of stability to the Warriors’ second unit, something that will be needed when Stephen Curry needs a breather.

There are a few major surprises here, however. Firstly, the likelihood of Jonathan Kuminga dropping to seventh would be quite the win for Golden State. An extremely versatile forward with elite size and athleticism, Kuminga is an absolute steal at No. 7.

Another surprise comes with Scottie Barnes being selected at 14. It is hard for me to imagine he slips this far into the lottery — but the Warriors would be more than happy to pick him up that late in the order. Barnes has incredible length and agility on the perimeter and has an easy path to becoming a superstar if he can round out his offensive game.

The final shock is that no one has Davion Mitchell heading to Golden State. Mitchell is likely the best fit at guard for the Warriors with his playmaking and defensive capabilities. Nonetheless, it’s possible he is off the board by the time Golden State is on the clock.

As you can see, the Warriors have numerous options in the upcoming draft and nobody really seems certain of who they will take. All we know is the Dubs will likely take a wing and a guard if they are given the opportunity.
