There’s no denying the Golden State Warriors are looking to become true contenders this offseason.

The hope is that they’ll have Klay Thompson return to the court this coming season. The five-time All-Star returning even with potentially limited athleticism would enhance this roster tremendously.

The Golden State Warriors should have an offseason plan, and there are going to be things out of their control. Here is a couple of them.

With the Big 3 expected to be back, the Warriors should be looking to do everything they can to contend. After being awarded the No. 7 and No. 14 pick in the upcoming draft, they’ll have the assets to make their voice heard around the league.

Dubbed as the most intriguing team in the draft, the Warriors have options when it comes to trading, and they should have pull in the free-agency market as well. Combine those, and it will hopefully be a good offseason for Golden State.

That said, per with everything, especially as we saw with Thompson, things may not go as expected. With that in mind, let’s dive into three things out of the Warriors control that could hurt their offseason strategy.
