Golden State Warriors: Jordan Poole is a great sweetener

A quick disclaimer before we get to the rest of the rankings: Andrew Wiggins will not appear on this list. This spot came down to a fight between Jordan Poole and Wiggins — with me ultimately deciding Poole is the more valuable asset due to his ability to be the perfect sweetener.

Look, if the Golden State Warriors do make a blockbuster trade, it’s almost certain Wiggins will be involved. This is because he is the only expendable player on the roster capable of matching salaries with another star.

However, what makes Poole a more valuable asset is the fact that he’s a young player, with loads of potential, on a cheap contract. Poole can be tossed into any package as the finishing touch for just about any team.

Poole is entering his third season and made astronomical leaps in development over his first two campaigns. He averaged 15.4 points and 2.0 assists across his last 14 games and can be a spark plug scorer for any team with a developing core.
