Golden State Warriors’ Godfather deal includes James Wiseman

This last one should come as no surprise. There is a zero percent chance the Golden State Warriors complete a blockbuster deal without James Wiseman being included. He’s their most valuable asset that can be acquired via trade.

We all saw Wiseman struggle through his rookie season. Limited experience and high expectations set him up for a bumpy ride. He looked out of place and minutes were hard to come by for the rookie.

Nonetheless, Wiseman posted 11.5 points and 5.8 rebounds. He showed a bit of touch from outside the paint and breathtaking athleticism in transition. It’s very easy to envision a future in which Wiseman is running the floor like a gazelle and crashing down lobs every night.

This vision is one that makes Wiseman such a valuable trade asset. He just turned 20 and the sky is the limit for the former No. 2 overall pick. Plenty of teams will feel comfortable taking a chance on Wiseman and the Warriors won’t feel too bad if it means winning another title ASAP.
