Team the Golden State Warriors should call to move up: Detroit Pistons

Lastly, the Golden State Warriors have to call up the Detroit Pistons.

At the very least, they can get shot down knowing they tried to add the draft’s best player, Cade Cunningham. The Warriors have the No. 7 and 14 picks, a future first-round pick, and then James Wiseman to offer.

Whether that’s enough is an entirely different story, but the Pistons were one of the teams that had an interest in Wiseman before the Warriors took him last draft. After watching Christian Wood leave for Houston, it would make sense for Detroit to make a deal like this.

At the same time, the value of Cunningham is sky-high. His playmaking combined with his shooting and NBA-ready physique make him a player that could come in and contribute immediately.

That’s exactly what Golden State needs, but it’s still a long shot that the Warriors have the assets available for trade to lure the Pistons enough to make a deal happen.
