Golden State Warriors can target Christian Wood

A major issue that the Golden State Warriors haven’t been able to address in recent years is their lack of shooting or scoring in general, from their frontcourt. While Draymond Green is an elite playmaker and Eric Paschall is a strong slasher — the Dubs have no consistent offensive production from their forwards.

This is one aspect that James Wiseman can someday solve in the future. Playing a role similar to Deandre Ayton, Wiseman can be a highly efficient scorer in the paint. Still, the Dubs will be hurting for a 3-point shooter in the frontcourt — even if  Wiseman continues to develop as a shooter.

Consequently, Christian Wood is an ideal target. A sign-and-trade featuring Kelly Oubre would be absolutely perfect for the Warriors — but a deal around Eric Paschall, Kevon Looney and other assets to match salary would work, as well.

The main goal here is to get Wood for his stretch-four capabilities. Wood averaged 21.0 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks on nearly 40 percent shooting from the 3-point line. He’s a great fit in the frontcourt for the Dubs and is ready to compete ASAP.
