Heading into the 2021 NBA Draft, Scottie Barnes might be at the top of the Golden State Warriors‘ wish list. And, this is for good reason.

The Golden State Warriors should be excited at the idea of adding Scottie Barnes to their roster in the 2021 NBA Draft.

ESPN’s No. 5 recruit out of high school, Scottie Barnes had a unique season on an excellent Florida State squad as a sixth man. His imposing 6’8″ frame, 7’2″ wingspan, and 210+ pound build made him an absolute force on the less glamorous end while being the team’s best playmaker.

Florida State runs a right ship, limiting dribbling on offense in favor of passes, and a tough switch-heavy scheme on the other end. Yet Barnes still loudly showed why he’s the most interesting player in this draft class.

Barnes is hands-down my favorite sleeper in this class. Players this talented and smart don’t come around often, and being a physical anomaly is just icing on the cake. A switch-heavy team with lots of motion offense (Warriors, anyone?) could make him an All-Star level player sooner than later. If he’s forced to commit to a single position on both ends of the floor it takes away tons of his potential.

So, what would happen if the Warriors actually had a chance to add him? How do his offensive and defensive game fit on the Dubs? Let’s take a look.
