Golden State Warriors proposal for Damian Lillard: The most likely

Here is just the old-fashioned two-team trade.

The Warriors should be craving Lillard. He would be their missing piece since Kevin Durant left. Now, we don’t know the cap the former MVP leaving will create as the team has been missing five-time All-Star Klay Thompson as well.

Golden State was a team to be feared with just Stephen Curry leading the ship. The two-time MVP went for his second scoring title this past year. Adding Lillard to a team with Curry could be almost unfair.

For Portland, if he’s adamant about wanting out, there may not be many great options. This is one.

They’d get two lottery picks, like two or more pick drafts, a proven scorer coming off his most-efficient season, and a former top-two pick looking to become the prototype for how the center position will evolve in the future.

Sadly, there’s a good chance this doesn’t come close to the deal that teams like Houston could propose.
