Golden State Warriors proposal for Damian Lillard: The outlandish

It’s going to take something major for the Portland Trail Blazers to actually agree to terms on a Damian Lillard trade. That type of outlandish deal could be made a reality if the Detroit Pistons have any interest in trading down.

The Blazers then could snag the No. 1 overall pick and Wiseman. That No. 1 pick is projected to be used on Oklahoma State’s Cade Cunningham. He’s by far the most NBA-ready prospect and is expected to have superstar potential.

Portland might not get a better offer than the No. 1 overall pick in a draft that’s expected to have several potential stars.

That said, the real tricky part would be getting Detroit to say yes. Two first-round picks, Jordan Poole and James Wiseman may be enough. The Pistons were a team high on Wiseman and had the perfect reason to take him high in last year’s draft.

If that love for the big man is still there, this deal could be the perfect way for them to mend their mistakes. It’s unlikely but not impossible.
