Golden State Warriors can improve through trades

Everybody loves a good blockbuster trade. Though they’ve been in rumors ever since Kevin Durant left in 2019, the Golden State Warriors have typically refrained from any major swaps. Their most notable trade of the last two seasons involved a deal for Andrew Wiggins — but since then, the Dubs have been relatively quiet.

They took a slight chance on trading for Kelly Oubre last year. And, it looks like that decision might backfire if he leaves in free agency. Nonetheless, the Dubs have shown they are willing to make trades if they feel confident enough it will work in their favor.

For this reason, the Dubs will continue to be in trade rumors moving forward. Especially when they have such an enticing collection of assets such as multiple lottery picks and young players to include in deals.

The Warriors can explore a broad spectrum of trades this summer. Smaller deals such as pick swaps and acquiring role players are on the table while swinging for a star is something the Dubs can consider as well.

It is unclear exactly how bold the Warriors will get in trade discussions this summer but you can rest assured flipping assets for a star such as Zach LaVine or even Damian Lillard would be the quickest way to improve this roster.
