Will Kelly Oubre Jr. leave the Golden State Warriors?

The decision for now solely rests on Oubre Jr., and should he decide to part ways, it can be safely assumed there will be no dearth of offers. He could go on to join the Miami Heat, the San Antonio Spurs, or the New York Knicks according to reports that say they can create the cap space.

The Golden State Warriors and Kelly Oubre Jr. could be a reunion we see this offseason, but it’ll all depend on what Oubre Jr. wants next for his career.

The Warriors have made no secret of the fact they want to keep the guard on their side. That much was evident when the franchise decided not to deal him at the NBA trade deadline even as offers poured in for the 6-foot-7 wing.

A report by The Mercury News said word from the league sources was that the side wasn’t keen on letting him go. Torrel Harris, CEO of Unique Sports Management, had told the publication the Warriors “want him back,” and that “we are on the same page.”

For Oubre Jr., the question is about what he can offer to Golden State when Klay Thompson makes a comeback. Surely, he will not be a starter, however, staying back, even if it may dent the Warriors’ wallet might not really be a bad idea.
