Free agent Golden State Warriors should pursue: Mike Scott

The last four players we’ve talked about have been small forward-power forward combinations that can defend and shoot. Mike Scott, who recently spent time with the Philadelphia 76ers, would fill that void yet again.

Scott is younger at just 33, and he does still have 8 years of experience in the league. The Sixers had Scott on their bench, and they did utilize him much. He averaged 5.2 points per game over the past two seasons, both spent in Philadelphia.

While he wasn’t overly efficient from the field, Scott did shoot around 36 percent from deep which is notable. Scott would be more of an elite bench option than a great late-game veteran like Iguodala or Johnson could be.

He shoots well, and he can defend against bigger forwards. Iguodala and Johnson may both be off the board, and if Scott is still available, the Warriors should at least consider adding him. Scott is more of a last-chance option, but still one I’d be happy with.
