Golden State Warriors can target Christian Wood

There isn’t a player more readily available to the Golden State Warriors than Christian Wood. He’s a player entering his prime on a rebuilding Houston Rockets team. These factors make him the most talented player the Dubs can acquire for the cheapest price.

Wood has had a quick rise to stardom. First gaining a rhythm two seasons ago in Detroit, Wood averaged a career-best 21.0 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game. He’s an all-around force of nature with primetime athleticism and highlight-reel tendencies.

Most of all, he’s a floor spacer in the frontcourt. Wood drilled close to 40 percent of his 5.0 3-point attempts per game last year. This would make him the best shooter in the Dub’s frontcourt by a longshot and provide them with much-needed spacing in that regard.

As previously stated, Wood is a player that will be available at a lesser price than most other names on this list. For that reason, he’s maybe the most realistic prospect to target. The Warriors can make an offer that includes their two lottery picks and either Kelly Oubre (sign and trade) or a combination of lesser players like Kevon Looney, Jordan Poole, Eric Paschall and a few others in order to match salary.
