Golden State Warriors can target John Collins

The Atlanta Hawks just surprised everybody with their run through the Eastern Conference. Though they fell short of reaching the NBA FInals — this team feels they can take another step forward with the proper moves.

One of their most expandable assets is John Collins, who is expected to test the market in restricted free agency this summer. As the Hawks have numerous forwards like Danilo Gallinari, Cam Reddish, De’Andre Hunter and even small-ball center Onyeka Okongwu volleying for minutes, it makes sense that Collins could be the one who goes.

This opens up a few questions — will the Warriors be able to flip Kelly Oubre for Collins? Maybe Andrew Wiggins? It’s unclear exactly what Atlanta would want, but obviously, the Dubs’ two lottery picks will be on the table.

In the event Collins does agree to a sign-and-trade with Golden State, he brings a total upgrade to the frontcourt in terms of offensive output. He’s a three-level scorer with insane leaping ability that would be a joy to watch alongside the Splash Brothers.
