The Golden State Warriors have been active in trade talks over the past few days with reports breaking that have been centered around Bradley Beal, Ben Simmons, Damian Lillard, and Myles Turner.

There only seem to be a few players still in the mix for the Warriors’ No. 7 overall pick, and one of them is the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers’ only asset that is coveted by the Warriors is Turner, the league’s blocks per game leader last season.

The Golden State Warriors and Indiana Pacers are having trade talks centered around six-year veteran center Myles Turner.

The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor, via NBC Sports, broke this news on the “NBA Mismatch” podcast.

"“They are having trade conversations, I have not seen reported that, I believe I had it in my story that they’ve had some conversations with the Pacers, the Pacers have been one of the more active teams, the name that I’ve heard involved in those conversations is Myles Turner,” O’Connor said."

This deal makes sense, and the price is probably much better than that for an actual superstar like Lillard or Beal. It would be interesting if a player like James Wiseman and the Dubs’ more valuable pick would be the package.

Turner is set to make $18 million for the next two seasons. At the point when Turner is set to hit the market in a few seasons, the Warriors should have a better understanding of if Wiseman is the future, assuming they don’t trade him to bring in the 6-foot-11 rim protector.

One of the biggest factors that make Turner an attractive player for Golden State is the fact that he can shoot from deep. Turner averaged 1.5 threes per game this past season. While he didn’t shoot too efficiently, Turner did hit 38.8 percent of his triples a couple of seasons ago.

He has a career 35.2 percent three-point average. On top of notching 2.2 blocks per game, Turner would be a great addition. He’s not a superstar and has yet to be dubbed an All-Star despite his lofty defensive numbers.

But, he would have a major impact on both sides of the court.

For his price, both on his contract and in trade talks, Turner would be a worthwhile option. Given that the Warriors have two stars on the offensive end of the court, Turner may be all they need to get back to that championship-caliber level.
