A storm is brewing in the NBA. With only a few days remaining before the draft and rumors swirling around the Golden State Warriors and other teams across the league — something is bound to happen.

The NBA Draft serves as an opportunity for anything to happen. It’s not uncommon for teams in the draft to trade out or swap picks with the right suitor. No team has more incentive to get creative on July 29 than the Warriors, who have two lottery selections and plenty of players to target.

The Golden State Warriors are primed for a big NBA Draft night and one executive believes we are in the calm before the storm.

According to Evan Damarrell of Forbes, a Western Conference executive has stated that we are experiencing the calm before the storm in terms of NBA trades. There has been a lot of smoke — but soon, we should be seeing some fire across the league.

As mentioned, the Warriors are the most likely team to shake things up. They can adjust their order in the draft or trade out altogether to swing for another star. Whatever it might be, the Dubs will be analyzing all of their options on NBA Draft night.

Star players like Bradley Beal, Pascal Siakam, Zach LaVine, Ben Simmons and even Damian Lillard will be in the mix as the Dubs potentially make their God Father offer to bolster this roster before the season begins.

Although it seems the Warriors would benefit more from holding onto the picks for themselves, there is certainly no stopping the NBA trade rumor that operates 24/7. And, if this executive is correct, the Dubs will likely find themselves somewhere amidst the storm as they work to get involved in any deal that can help them compete for a title before it’s all said and done.
