While many teams are preparing to rebuild, the Golden State Warriors are looking to contend. With two-time MVP Stephen Curry leading the way, the Warriors will be a playoff-contending team with just Curry and five-time All-Star Klay Thompson.

Bring in Draymond Green to the conversation, and Golden State should have a team that’s able to compete for a championship. Despite their vast array of talent, the Warriors are still looking to improve their roster.

The Golden State Warriors have been involved in the trade market, but they may not get the deal of their dreams this offseason.

There are a couple of big questions for Golden State though.

The first is: Who is the right player to target? They clearly like Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal. Could Pacers center Myles Turner or Raptors forward Pascal Siakam also fit the mold of a player they’d like to trade for?

While those three names may entice Golden State, they could be short on the assets to get them to where they’re making actual offers for those stars. Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer reported that the Dubs No. 7 and No. 14 picks are seeing a relatively “cool” market.

"“Bob Myers’ front office has felt a similarly cool market for their package of picks Nos. 7 and 14 as Philadelphia has for [Ben] Simmons. Canvassing sources around the league, it seems few veteran impact players are considered to be available at the moment,” Fischer wrote."

If the No. 7 overall pick isn’t intriguing to teams, then the Warriors may not have much to lean on. Former No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman should be an asset they’re willing to trade and his upside is obvious.

On top of that, they’d be able to offer future picks and shooting guard Jordan Poole. However, combining them all may still not be enough for a player of Beal’s caliber, especially as he’s coming off his second straight season in which he averaged over 30 points per game.

The Warriors, with many reports having been released over the last few weeks, are actively trying to make a deal, but it must be the right deal. With those two picks meaning little, it’s unlikely that happens anytime soon.

With the draft just days away, expect the Warriors to end up using both picks as rumors are struggling to surface with much legitimacy.
