Golden State Warriors Draft Day Trade: Adding an All-Star forward

Raptors’ power forward Pascal Siakam is clearly on the block.

Siakam was an All-Star during the 2019-2020 season but struggled this past season as the Raptors fell apart early in the season. They never recovered, and the trade rumors picked up. Kyle Lowry was never dealt, but it did seem like the offers were on the table.

That said, there’s potential for the Warriors to get in on this. They have Wiggins and Wiseman. Despite the Raptors having a pair of strong frontcourt players, Wiseman is 20 years old. He has the highest potential of all three.

Pair him with OG Anunoby, and the Raptors could have a solid young core. For the Warriors, Siakam averaged 21.4 points per game and shot 45.5 percent from the field. His sub-30 percent three-point shooting was his lowest in the past three seasons.

He’s a solid star, and he would make a good fit alongside Draymond Green. However, this should be the most the Warriors give, and they should want Chris Boucher as well, solidifying their frontcourt, an area of weakness for them this past season.
