Golden State Warriors Draft Day Trade: Adding a dynamic big

Another player the Warriors should want to target is center Myles Turner.

However, his value likely won’t be something both sides agree upon. I don’t think Turner is worth trading James Wiseman. Wiseman has far more value than the No. 14 overall pick, despite not showing that superstar upside as a rookie.

Andrew Wiggins for Turner would financially free up some space for the Warriors as well.

Dealing Wiggins would make the Warriors relatively thin at the three which would force Golden State to potentially add Jonathan Kuminga. While Kuminga won’t be a star from the start, he could be a decent defender early on.

Nonetheless, Turner will be under contract for two more seasons, making $18 million per year. He led the league in shots this past season, but his impact wasn’t quite as there without a star player on the offensive end.

Turner should be available, but given he may not make the Warriors a true title contender immediately, there’s no denying the two sides may not agree on a valuation.
