Golden State Warriors do NOT trade their 2021 NBA Draft picks

We need to start with the most pressing matter. Will the Golden State Warriors opt to trade out of the NBA Draft altogether? My prediction is no.

Don’t get me wrong, the Warriors have a long list of reasons to trade their picks. Most notably, capitalizing on the final years of Stephen Curry’s prime and delivering him a roster that is capable of winning another championship.

However, the Dubs can’t afford to make any rash decisions. It’s a tight window but playing the long game could be the best route to hanging up another banner before the two-time MVP is finished with his run.

Unless the Warriors get a deal that is simply too good to resist — they should put their chips into the draft and pray their development team can get these young studs ready to compete within the next three years.

In doing so, the franchise gives itself an opportunity to bridge the gap between the old and new generations. Barring major injuries, the big three should still be capable of glory in three years and the young core might be entering their peak at just the right time for a beautiful storm.
