Golden State Warriors veteran free agent target: Andre Iguodala

With the Golden State Warriors still having their Big 3 together, there shouldn’t be any better addition than former Warrior Andre Iguodala.

Iggy was the NBA Finals MVP in 2015, the season before Golden State set the single-season wins record. Iguodala never really got much going in Miami, scoring under five points per game in both his seasons with the Heat.

It just wasn’t a great fit for him, and now 37, as long as his team option is declined (being $15 million it should be expected to), Iggy will hit the open market. The Warriors may not be his best offer, but given his relationship with the franchise, it makes sense.

A career 46 percent shooter, Iguodala isn’t the most athletic forward anymore, but he may be one of the most intelligent, especially having been in their system for several seasons earlier in his career.

He is a competent shooter and a solid defender. He has everything the Warriors should want, and playing in under two quarters per game the last couple of seasons, adding Iggy shouldn’t stunt of the growth of their Moody or Kuminga either.
