Golden State Warriors veteran free agent target: Paul Millsap

Coming off a massive contract, it’s about time for Paul Millsap to settle down and get a ring. One place he could offer big-time support is in Golden State. Much like Zeller, Millsap would be used ideally as the frontcourt support off the bench.

Millsap played well for the Nuggets last season, but there’s no way he’ll be expecting another contract of even similar size. Millsap made $10 million this past season. He averaged nine points per game with the Nuggets.

The 6-foot-7 power forward made his living with the Hawks. Sadly, he broke his over-decade-long double-figure average. While he shouldn’t be expected to score at a high level, Millsap off the bench would be a huge boost.

Every team that Millsap has played on since the 2006-2007 season has been better with him on the court. That’s not a light feat, and one the Warriors should seriously consider as he’d make their second unit much better.

For the veteran’s minimum, this would be a huge get for the Warriors.
