Golden State Warriors veteran free agent target: Patty Mills
This would be a signing that Dub Nation would rave about.
Patty Mills has been lighting it up for the Australian national team in the Olympics. Having spent the last several seasons with the Spurs, Mills is on the market, and his time to chase another ring is fading.
The 6-foot-1 Mills is an absolute sniper, and he hit a career-high 2.4 threes per game. He shot 37.5 percent from deep which is impressive for anyone.
By next season, Mills would be 33 years old. He’s never been the most athletic, so it’s doubtful that his aging will kill his impact. He’d get to mentor Nico Mannion for a season or two while leading the charge for the second unit.
Mills averaged 10.8 points per game last season in just over 24 minutes per game. He’s productive and efficient. With that veteran presence as well, Mills has the perfect combination of skills and is a player the Dubs should absolutely target.
