Golden State Warriors can target DeMar DeRozan

With all of the veteran talents remaining on the San Antonio Spurs, someone has to end up on a contender this summer, right? While the Golden State Warriors should also be interested in names like Patty Milles and Rudy Gay — we will focus our attention on DeMar DeRozan today.

DeRozan has quite a bit of NBA experience. He battled for years in Toronto as the lead man, pushing his team to constant success but falling short each time. Since being traded to San Antonio, DeRozan has silently averaged 21.6 points and 6.3 assists per game as one of the most consistent performers in the league.

It’s not hard to see how DeRozan benefits the Dubs. He’s a quality scorer who can play defense and create plays for others. Above all else, he has over a decade of experience in the NBA, an attribute that only a few members of the Warriors currently hold.

It is unclear how eager DeRozan is to win a championship in the latter stages of his career. However, if winning a chip is the most important thing to him, it’s possible DeRozan will accept a cheap contract to compete with Golden State.
