There’s no denying that many fans would’ve preferred that the Golden State Warriors traded their two lottery picks in the 2021 NBA Draft. But, they didn’t, and now Golden State is going to desperately need to add veterans to support the Big 3.

Instead of coupling the picks and other assets for a player like Ben Simmons, the Warriors opted to keep their picks. With the No. 7 and No. 14 overall picks, they respectively drafted G-League Ignite forward Jonathan Kuminga and Arkansas guard Moses Moody.

The Golden State Warriors should be on the prowl for veterans to help support their young second unit. Andre Iguodala would be the quintessential addition.

For some, this draft was a home run that provided both a win-now player and a long-term project. With the 6-foot-5 Moody being a more complete player that should hopefully get minutes behind Andrew Wiggins, the Warriors have a capable starting five and second unit.

However, their bench is extremely young with 19-year-old Kuminga, 20-year-old James Wiseman and 22-year-old Jordan Poole. They need a few veterans to join their roster, and one they plan to speak to, per the AP’s Tim Reynolds, is Andre Iguodala.

That said, let’s dive into three reasons why they should go all-in on their former forward.
