Golden State Warriors should pursue Avery Bradley

Back to some positive potential additions for the Golden State Warriors, Avery Bradley can be the savvy defensive-oriented guard needed to ease Klay Thompson back into the fray.

With Thompson making his return from a long basketball hiatus, it is important the Warriors have enough depth to give him ample time to rest. While Jordan Poole and Otto Porter Jr. can help in this regard, finding another defender in the backcourt to stagger minutes with Stephen Curry is a great idea.

Bradley has regressed with age but he’s still a quality defender at the point of attack. He can be trusted to pick up opposing ball handlers and funnel players into the teeth of the defense. This is a skill that you can only consistently find in weathered vets like Bradley.

And, he’s a trustworthy offensive threat as well. He can take on tertiary ball-handling responsibilities and shoot well enough to demand respect. This pairing makes all the sense in the world and the Dubs should be calling Bradley as soon as they can.
