Golden State Warriors should pursue Danny Green

Update: Danny Green has agreed to a deal to return to Philly

The Golden State Warriors have a decent collection of wing defenders in Andrew Wiggins, Otto Porter Jr. and even Kelly Oubre Jr. if he elects to stay. However, hauling in one more hybrid 3-and-D prospect like Danny Green is still a valid move.

Green is a champion. He’s won three titles with three separate franchises and has been a key member of each team. He has built up the reputation of being a selfless player who does all of the little things required to reach NBA perfection.

Again, the Warriors have room for Green as someone who can help Klay Thompson ease his way back into playing big minutes. Green’s presence as a veteran leader and bench producer would prove to be massive throughout the course of a long season.

Green averaged 9.5 points on above 40 percent shooting from the 3-point line with Philly. He’s nearing the end of his career but still has much to offer a team like the Dubs.
