Golden State Warriors free agent target: Josh Hart
Josh Hart would fit perfectly with the Golden State Warriors. In 47 games with the Pelicans last season, Hart averaged 9.2 points per game. He did average a career-high 28.7 minutes per game, but he wasn’t often the focal point of the offense.
His scoring really wasn’t that bad, and when you consider his defensive contributions, he would fit perfectly beside Jordan Poole on the second unit. Add in that Hart made 1.3 triples per game, and he seems like a perfect fit.
The Warriors need a defensive specialist, especially with Klay Thompson being sidelined for at least the start of the offseason. Hart could perfectly supplement his loss early in the season.
Now, you can’t expect too much from Hart, but he would be a great complement to the rest of the roster.
Hart is entering his fifth season in the NBA, and he’s played two years with the Lakers and two with the Pelicans. He can shoot and defend. Despite not having the ceiling of other big-name players, he’d be a solid fit with the Warriors.
