Golden State Warriors can consider Isaiah Hartenstein

Raw statistics do not paint the full picture for every player. Isaiah Hartenstein is a skilled big man who hasn’t really found a home just yet in the NBA. The Golden State Warriors can provide him a place to flaunt his court vision and screen-setting capabilities.

Hartenstein is BIG. He stands at 7-feet tall and weighs nearly 250 pounds. He has no problem setting wide screens for his teammates and thrives as a playmaker out of these opportunities. Once being traded to Cleveland, Hartenstein averaged 2.5 assists in minimal playing time for one of the worst offensive teams in the league.

He will surprise you with his basketball IQ and awareness on offense. The second round pick always seems to make the right play and I’d like to believe that playing behind Nikola Jokic for a year had to have helped him develop these talents.

The Warriors are happy with their center tandem of Kevon Looney and James Wiseman — yet one more pickup like Hartenstein could provide them with another option throughout the season. It never hurts to have more depth and something tells me Hartenstein would quickly become a fan favorite in Golden State.
