Golden State Warriors free agent target: Dante Exum
Coming off a bronze medal for Australia, Dante Exum will be looking for his next NBA home. The 26-year-old played well alongside guard Patty Mills.
Exum’s future in the league isn’t known as of now, but the former top-five might have done enough to do garner some interest. His last stint in the NBA, this past season, he averaged 3.8 points per game.
Originally taken by the Jazz, Exum was dealt after three and a half seasons in Utah. He averaged 8.1 points per game at his peak. Given his 6-foot-9 wingspan and 6-foot-5 frame, Exum has the ideal size to defensive lead the second unit.
Exum is a free agent after playing just 41 games over the past two seasons. He has the skill to make an impact, but he hasn’t quite been able to develop into consistent play yet. In Golden State, he could have the perfect chance to re-write his career.
Exum is healthy and worth taking a chance on, especially as he’d be a minimum-contract addition.
