Golden State Warriors free agent target: Frank Ntilikina

Like with Exum, Ntilikina is another former top-ten pick that never truly found his footing in the NBA. He was taken by the Knicks, and as with many New York picks, he wasn’t able to find any traction in the Big Apple.

While some of that can be put on Ntilikina, the superb defender should still have a future in the NBA. He was never really able to become an efficient NBA player. That said, he is coming off an impactful Olympic run in which he helped France win silver.

Ntilikina played just 33 games this past season, averaging under three points per game. The numbers aren’t great, but his defense and wingspan still make him a player that should be coveted by some contending teams.

Ntilikina is a career 37 percent shooter. With players like Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson III, they’ve been able to drastically improve in Golden State. The same could be said of Ntilikina, who is still just 23 years old.

With a 7-foot-1 wingspan, Ntilikina has terrific defensive instincts, and that’s something the Warriors need to consider when looking at a player they should add to their second unit. As with Exum, Ntilikina is worth the risk.
