Golden State Warriors free agent target: Jeff Teague

While the other two are coming off Olympic medals, Jeff Teague recently won his first NBA Championship after numerous playoff runs. While Teague didn’t play the most impactful role, he did provide some shooting and leadership off the bench.

Teague averaged 6.7 points per game this past season. Given his low minutes per game, his per-36 minute average blossoms to just over 14 points. The 33-year-old Teague is a terrific backup, and he should be available for the veteran’s minimum.

Over the last decade, only one of Teague’s teams have been worse with him on the court. He’s been terrific at leading teams and being able to manage the game. He’s also a career 36 percent three-point shooter.

When talking about veterans, Teague is the player that needs to be brought up, as he would be a welcome addition to any second unit. At his peak, Teague notched over 16 points per game. He has the skill to continue to impact even in limited minutes, as we saw with Milwaukee.
