Golden State Warriors Klay Thompson bridge: Moses Moody

The Golden State Warriors drafted Jonathan Kuminga at No. 7. An ultra-athletic small forward, Kuminga will get spotty minutes behind Andrew Wiggins and Andre Iguodala. As for their No. 14 pick, they drafted Arkansas guard Moses Moody.

At 6-foot-5, Moody can play either the two or three and has shown a great pace to his game in summer league action. While it should be desired that Moody improves his shooting, from the start, he could be the best defensive guard on the roster, obviously except for Thompson.

Moody spent one season at Arkansas where he averaged 16.8 points per game, so the scoring ability is there. He hit 48 percent of his two-point attempts and 36 percent of his three-point attempts.

The Warriors could need him from the start, unless they want to play a small lineup of Curry and either Mychal Mulder or Damion Lee, which does have its clear upsides. Given his size, Moody poses an interesting case to start with Thompson sidelined.
