Golden State Warriors should target Avery Bradley

The Golden State Warriors should be looking for a veteran presence to lead their second unit. While Avery Bradley isn’t a traditional point guard, he has enough experience to be the first guard off the bench for the Dubs.

Bradley has played in the NBA for over 10 years and built up a sturdy reputation as an elite perimeter defender. He’s regressed with age but there is no doubt he is still capable of making a difference on this side of the floor. More importantly, Bradley has always been a trustworthy shooter. He is a career 36.3 percent 3-point shooter and can provide the second unit with some spacing.

The Warriors will benefit from a 3-and-D guard being the backup for Stephen Curry. And, Bradley would likely play an important role in easing Klay Thompson back into the fray after consecutive season-ending injuries.

In Bradley’s last healthy season in the NBA, he averaged 8.6 points as a starter for the Los Angeles Lakers. If he can even come close to matching that production as a rotational piece for the Dubs it would be a major win.
