Golden State Warriors potential proposal: Playing the long game

The Warriors seemed interested in a Simmons trade, but their price tag made any franchise considering a deal turn the other way. Wanting Wiggins, Wiseman, and four first-round picks was extreme.

Here, they get Wiggins, Kuminga, and a first-round pick. In theory, that’s two first-round picks and Wiggins. Given how Kuminga has played early in the Summer League, his stock may have increased enough to make this a deal both sides would explore.

As for Wiggins, his stock should also have increased given his increased efficiency this past season. He shot 47.7 percent from the field and then 38 percent from dep, both were career highs for the former No. 1 overall pick.

With Seth Curry and Tyrese Maxey in Philadelphia, they may be welcome to adding two small forwards, especially if they look more towards lineups with Tobias Harris at the four and Joel Embiid at the five.

This likely wouldn’t be a deal the Sixers get on board with, but it may be one of the only ones they’d be offered, especially after the most recent reports on Simmons.
