Golden State Warriors potential proposal: Playing hard ball

What if the Sixers prefer James Wiseman? The former No. 2 overall pick is in Vegas cheering on his recent draftees, but there’s no denying he’s been the talk of the town this offseason. Could Wiseman be dealt?

This one seems a bit more unlikely as the Sixers have Joel Embiid. There’s good reason to believe, especially considering the inefficiency of Kuminga, that Wiseman could be the better long-term prospect.

As a rookie, Wiseman averaged 11.5 points in just over 21 minutes per game. He hauled down 5.8 rebounds as well and also, equally as important, recorded 3.1 fouls per game.

Wiseman was often in foul trouble. He wasn’t quite the star or high-profile rim protector that many had hoped for, but fans and analysts must remember he’s just 20 years old and was coming off a freshman season in which he played just three games.

The ceiling is there for Wiseman, and with the trade market waning for Philadelphia, this could be one of the only deals they’re offered.
