1. Kevin Durant

Let me just start by speaking for the entire basketball world when I say I am so, so thankful that Kevin Durant is back to being Kevin Durant. An Achilles injury is no joke for a near seven-footer who moves like a guard — but KD looks better than ever.

No, seriously, Kevin Durant might be playing the best basketball of his career. He just led Team USA to the Gold and his absurd 35.4 points per game against Milwaukee pushed the eventual champions to the brink in a seven-game series that was ultimately decided by just a few inches. If Durant’s foot was just a tad smaller we could be looking at an entirely different reality.

But alas, Durant is back to the grind as he looks to win a ring with the Brooklyn Nets. His latest collection of superstar teammates is pretty impressive and if healthy, they’ll be entering the season as title favorites.

This is nothing new for KD. He embraced being the villain in Golden State and he’s ready to do so once again in Brooklyn. However, I just hope that more people appreciate it this time — as Durant is probably the best player in the world right now.
