Golden State Warriors potential free agent signing: Avery Bradley

Another 3-and-D wing the Warriors should consider signing is Avery Bradley.

If added, Bradley may immediately be the starter as he could thrive in a defensive-minded role alongside two-time Stephen Curry. With Thompson out until further notice, the Warriors could use a strong defensive presence alongside Curry.

Bradley, as with recent Dubs signee Porter Jr., has struggled to stay on the court lately which is cause for concern. He’s played a combined 76 games in the past two seasons. He’s spent the last three seasons with five different teams.

One reason Bradley is still available is because of his poor play while on the court. He’s been unable to find a good rhythm with the teams that he’s been on. Bradley averaged 6.4 points per game this past season, splitting time with the Rockets and Heat.

The 6-foot-3 30-year-old was once among the best 3-and-D players in the NBA, averaging over 16 points per game with the Celtics. There’s no guaranteeing he can get back to that level, but it is a risk worth taking, especially since Bradley should be a veteran’s minimum cost.
