Jordan Poole can be the Golden State Warriors’ Sixth Man

I don’t think anyone else on the Golden State Warriors is more of a surprise factor than Jordan Poole. Not because any of the fans aren’t paying attention, but mostly because the rest of the league likely doesn’t realize how big of a contributor Poole might become.

Poole has a skill set that is extremely useful to a team like the Dubs. He thrives as a shooter, averaging 14.7 points on 35.4 percent shooting from the 3-point line in the final months of the season. Poole can pull up or drill catch-and-shoot attempts, making him a versatile weapon for Golden State.

Most importantly, Poole is growing rapidly as a ball handler. He always had the potential to be a tertiary playmaker coming out of college and the Warriors’ development team has done a fantastic job of easing him into this role.

Poole is learning to make better reads and flashing some exciting talents as a live-action passer. Combine this with his streaky shooting from deep and there is a chance Poole emerges as the first man off the bench for Golden State next season.
