Golden State Warriors buy-low free agent candidate: JJ Redick

Another player that’s still on the market and has had quite the NBA career is JJ Redick.

Just a few years ago, Redick was considered one of the league’s best sharpshooters, but his value has also taken a drastic hit. Redick spent the bulk of his career with the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers.

However, he really came on later and thrived with the Sixers. His last season in Philadelphia, Redick averaged a career-high 18.1 points per game. He hit 3.2 triples per game that season, and it was just three years ago.

Only really a sniper, Redick is different from Bradley in the sense of he provides more of a powerful offensive weapon and less of an elite defensive stopper. Given how the Warriors like to space the court, there’s no denying they could also look to add the 37-year-old.

Redick’s defense, however, could be too much of a liability with players like Lee and Mulder also on the bench. Gary Payton II has looked competent defensively, so if he’s signed to a two-way deal, it may justify adding a player of Redick’s skill set.

For now, both should be considered No. 1 options with Bradley as 1A and Redick as 1B.
