Golden State Warriors front office “Fu***** up”

Everyone was quick to assume that Draymond Green and Kevin Durant’s infamous clash against the LA Clippers was the driving force behind KD’s decision to leave in the following summer. While this mini-feud did play a role in causing a rift between Durant and the rest of the team — it was the front office and coaching staff who hammered the final nail in the coffin.

"“It wasn’t the argument, it was the way that everybody (Steve Kerr) acted like it didn’t happen, Bob Myers tried to just dicispline you (Draymond Green) and think that would put the mask oveer everything I really felt like that was such a big deal for us… we had to get it all out”"

Citing the Last Dance episode which features Scottie Pippen refusing to play the final seconds of a crucial game only for the entire Chicago Bulls’ team to discuss the issue together in the locker room — Durant stated he felt this was an issue that the Warriors needed to address rather than ignore.

Green compounds this sentiment, revealing he laughed in Bob Myer’s face when he was informed he would be suspended for the incident. In Dray’s eyes, he had no one to apologize to other than Durant and the suspension was doing nothing to solve the problem at hand.

Both Green and Durant conclude the segment by agreeing, the front office “Fu**** up.” Though the overall feeling is KD was going to leave after the season regardless, this unfortunate situation didn’t help.
