So far this offseason, the Golden State Warriors have target shooters. Nemanja Bjelica and Otto Porter Jr. are the two veteran forwards that are proven three-point threats that Golden State has brought in.

The Warriors have also added Andre Iguodala. On top of those three, the Dubs drafted Jonathan Kuminga and Moses. That said, there are a couple of aspects of their roster that are still rather weak, and it’s frontcourt scoring and a backup point guard.

The Golden State Warriors have reported interest in Nuggets’ veteran forward Paul Millsap. They still haven’t erased the idea of signing the four-time All-Star.

Knowing the former, the Warriors showed interest in Nuggets’ forward Paul Millsap.

Millsap is a proven scorer but struggled to really find a role in the Nikola Jokic-led offense last season. He played just 20.8 minutes per game, the lowest amount for Millsap since his rookie season.

It wasn’t just his minutes that took a hit, but his scoring did as well. He averaged just nine points per game, the second-lowest average of his career. It was a rough season, and it’s not shocking that he’s wanting out.

With the interest having been out, more recent reports are that the Warriors are not quite done with the thought of adding the 6-foot-7 36-year-old. He’s also being targeted by the Kevin Durant-led Brooklyn Nets.

The Mercury News’ Wes Goldberg noted that the Warriors have reached out to Millsap’s representation and that the door is not “shut” on signing him. That should be seen as a small win for the Warriors who still recognize the need for scoring in their frontcourt.

Millsap, at one point in his career, notched over 18 points per game. At among point in his career, more recently, he hit over 43 percent of his three-point attempts through an entire season, shooting more than two triples per game.

Combine those two, and Millsap could be a solid addition. Having been a member of an All-Defensive team as well, Millsap has everything in the arsenal with the only question remaining regarding how much the aging forward has left in the tank.
