Golden State Warriors ultimate run-and-gun lineup
Lineup: Stephen Curry, Moses Moody, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman
To kick off our list, let’s take a look at a lineup that likely won’t appear very often but would be an unbelievably fun one in spurts. A lineup of all-killer no-filler would be a vastly entertaining one to watch if everyone is on their game.
Let’s start with the trio of Stephen Curry, Moses Moody and Klay Thompson. I won’t spend any time summarizing what the Splash Brothers are capable of — but Moody can be an incredible addition to their dynamic. Moody, a 6’5″ guard with a 7’1″ wingspan has all the potential to be Klay’s apprentice. He shot the lights out from deep in the Las Vegas Summer League and can use his physical tools to be an elite perimeter defender like Thompson someday.
Tossing these three shooters together and letting them rain on the enemy would be one hell of a way to watch Dubs’ basketball.
As for the rest of the lineup, Andrew Wiggins fills in as an additional playmaker and athlete to keep this squad from being too vulnerable defensively. Of course, James Wiseman punctuates this unit with his rim-running capabilities.
This group can shoot the 3-pointer, run in transition and lock up defensively. Variations of this lineup could replace Wiggins with Jonathan Kuminga for more emphasis on pushing the tempo. Obviously, Draymond Green is a fit for this group as well — trading shooting for even more playmaking and leadership defensively.
