Golden State Warriors need to run the OG Death Lineup

Lineup: Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala

Nostalgia is a powerful thing. The idea of seeing the Splash Brothers back together again is enough to get anyone excited. But, the original death lineup that kicked this dynasty into hyperdrive all those years ago? Sign me up.

With Klay Thompson on his way back from consecutive season-ending injuries and Andre Iguodala returning after a two-year departure from the team, everything is pointing to a climactic reunion between Thompson, Iggy, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.

Although we will be missing the likes of Harrison Barnes or Kevin Durant, the Dubs will still have Andrew Wiggins to round out the lineup — who has essentially served as a talent somewhere between KD and Barnes, anyways.

I think the league as a whole will be better once the death lineup is back in action. Even if they aren’t as effective as they once were, the sheer sight of seeing this iconic group that changed the game of basketball on the floor together again is going to bring joy to the world (and maybe fear to whoever they are facing).

As the Warriors embrace a potential revenge tour, there is no sweeter feeling than returning to their roots and dominating with the death lineup once more.
