Over the last several months, it has felt like the Golden State Warriors have been linked to just about every available star. The reason for that is that the Warriors seem like one star away from being favorites in the Western Conference.

Ben Simmons is the player in which the tension between the player and current franchise has felt the greatest, and he could easily be dealt by the end of the offseason. However, it’s not just Simmons that could find his way to another franchise.

While the storm is calm for now, the Golden State Warriors may still be a piece or two away from title contention, but there are trade targets to shy away from.

Many teams are looked more towards the future this offseason, potentially putting the short-term value of their star at risk. That movement may help drop the sky-high value that is being slapped on the name of most All-Star-caliber players.

The cost of a Bradley Beal-like player is astronomical, and it’s one the Warriors could barely pay even by offering the bulk of their assets. It would have to be a perfect fit for them to make that type of move.

After all, the pre-draft price of Simmons was virtually Andrew Wiggins and five first-round picks, one of which was James Wiseman, the former No. 2 overall pick. That said, let’s dive into three high-impactful players that the Warriors must stay away from in trade talks.
